Anyhow, back to my story. The following day I saw him in the lobby of the hotel he was staying at and thought of trying a different approach. I left everything behind and approached him with nothing in hand, I called to him for a little chat. I told him "I have a jersey that I'd like to get signed. I don't sell my stuff and you can personalize it if it makes you feel better." To a surprise, he responds "where is it?" and I said "give me one second to get it." Being prepared, it was on a chair just a few feet away from where I stopped him to chat. As you can see, he personalized my jersey and gave me a very nice signature. For me, I could careless about personalization as I don't sell my items.
